Okay I can Write About It Now….

Well given that some time has passed I now feel I can write about the sistuation everyone knows about……Ralph for the last week has been in fact sleeping with a grandmother..ME!!!

I have let the fact that I am going to be a grandma settle in….I am trying to believe that Joey and Connie will do just fine with the 2 children.

I have even started a journal to my grandchild!So when he/she is old enough they can see for themselves he/she was loved from the start by a stunned GRANNIE!!!

Life has a way of surprising you doesn’t it?Sooner than I thought I will be holding  a baby in my arms that my son fathered(that still doesn’t seem real to me) ……….

Heart surgery..

Well guys it looks like it is going to be open heart surgery after all.Not for an artery as first thought,but for a hole between the two chambers of his heart.They are going on the 27 to have a date set.

On the plus side what they thought was asthma all these years may in fact be due to the hole in his heart and the way the blood has been circulating.

We know everything will be ok!

update….

Well guys here is my update.There has been no time set for Kalebs,Ralphs grandson,heart surgery as of yet.To be 12 years old and have had the things happen to him that he has and to still keep the amazing smile on his young face is truley a testement to his inner strength.We still do not know if it will be an angiplastie or bypass but our prayers are with him.He was very happy talking to grampie on Saturday night(he is not in the hospital)Grampie was very happy to talk to him too.

We should be going to yarmouth sometime this week to check on the carpenter,electrician and plumming work that is being done on the rental space up there….Here is hopeing we can avoid the lady that keeps calling the house wanting to rent it.She does not seem to understand the concept of leasehold improvements!Ralph is seriously thinking about selling off all the buildings and land in Yarmouth,we know we are never going to move back there so now may be the time?

He has 2 physio appointments this week and then hopefully we can get started on finishing Cathy’s house….We have not forgotten you sis,new windows,siding,and expanding your porch,laying Noahs floor but most importantly…..YOUR CLOTHES LINE!!!!!

Amanda is enjoying  working at the museam and Joey got a site fishing for a trip that may turn into more?Thanks Bub!It is an oppertunity for him to make some money and a future for him Connie and the baby.I truley wish him luck and sucess.

Life is good…..

Okay hobit family,live is good…….,my cholesterol levels are going down nicely(without meds).The appointment was canceled today but I made them give me the results over the phone!!I was not waiting another 3 weeks for an appointment.

I have lost 13lbs and have not put any back on and my diatairy habits have definately changed…Now if I get hit by a bus or something I am going to be fairly pissed, on my way to judgement day,that I am doing all this and SPLAT!!!

Ralph has another physio appointment today,his back is starting to feel better.(It is hard trying to keep him from digging and doing stuff he shoulden’t)

I just baked muffins and peanutbutter cookies…..think date squares are next!!

It ain’t good….

Well guys it ain’t good.Ralphs back is f— up!We were in Clyde today and something happened to it,we had to ice it there , he was in a lot of pain.I hugged him and he said”It was like this 36 years ago”.People were telling me make him go home!Cherlye finally said “If you think she can make him do anything you don’t know Ralph very well!”

I know he is worried though he ain’t gonna tell anyone that!He is home I helped him out of his clothes and then out of the shower,I gave him his pills(the ones that knock him on his ass and he hates to take)Now we wait and see what tomorrow brings.

Less pain for Ralph I hope and mabey just mabey he will be able to straighten up!Fingers crossed….love ya all

My house….

Guys my house is a mess!I am looking around and i see what needs to be done but I just don’t want to do it!!!!Where is that housework fairy????

The house was so quiet last night(I know Amanda was only here for 2 weeks)but the quiet was kinda sad.

I am going to have a good hot cup of tea….make a list of what needs to be done and start picking at it.

I hope the sunshine lasts all weekend for my family to go out and enjoy themselves,after the housework I too will enjoy the sunshine,love you all…..later

Well Guys…

Well guys Amanda has decided that she is going to move back to her dads.I am,as I would like you all,going to respect her decision.As I told her I will be happy if she is happy,she has known for a few days that this is what she wants but was afraid to tell Ralph and I for fear of dissapointing us or us thinking badly of her,I do not think badly or feel dissapointed.I know how much she loves her dad and wants it to work(her and her dad talked alot last night).

As Amanda knows Ralph is a little worried about her but he loves her and know that this is her decision.

Ralph has physio appointment apparently scheduled up the wazooo for the next week to two weeks,and my doctors appointment is next week…..I will let ya all know about that one!Love to all….later

Amanda has …..

Hey hobit family Amanda has a summer job!!!!She will be working at the museam for the summer.She is so happy ,all she is thinking about is the pay checque at the end and the school clothes shopping she is going to do.I am so pleased for her.My daughter is growing up….my baby my be changing before my  eyes…but I am so proud of the woman she will become!

I will soar with her in her joy and I will hold her up when she is down.That is what mom’s were made for.

I will see you all on the cancer walk tomorrow and you will definately see my smile!!!

Amanda is here to live…

Well hobit family most of you know that on Monday Amanda decided to come live with Ralph and I.

She is getting settled,her room is full of girlie things,her exams are this week and one next,so I am not sure she has had a chance to catch her breath yet.

Now I am sure there will be an adjustment period!(Amanda reads this blog also so I ain’t saying anything she doesn’t already know)But she knows she is loved and wanted and she also knows that if she changes her mind that is fine too.

But for now hobit family the Messenger household has grown……I wish you could see my smile……love ya

Blood tests…

Okay hobit family tomorrow I have to go back for my followup blood tests…..So I have to try and remember not to eat after 8 tonight…..then in 2 Weeks I go back to the doctors and they get to tell me how well I have done?????Not likely!! I consulted the scale this morning and have in fact lost 12 pounds….she wanted me to loose 20!I hope she is happy with that!As far as the cholesterol goes if it is not down I will try another med.

It was a nice weekend this weekend helping Frank with the deck,and it was nice to spend some time with Cheryle.

I am actually looking forward to the relay for life this weekend,I think it is more the fact that most of our family will be there.

On this rainy yucky day I am going to clean my house,do some errands and relax….I hope you all have a great day and I will see most of you real soon.love ya
